Tatooine

In the city of Matmata in Tunisia, there is this place, a small part of a troglodyte town.
George Lucas came here to shoot some scenes for the Attack of the Clones Star Wars movie, depicting a city of tatooine

Lucas used a lot of Tunisian references. The Burnous are traditional coats, and jedi wears that. South of Tunisia, there is the city of Tataouine, where some shots of the phantom menace were done.
