Metal Box by kil1k Metal Box by kil1k
Just a quick shot i did near my home ... at sunset :)
contrast and colors adjusted,
i used the image > calculations to turn the original photo black & white, then i re added the original photo as a color layer...quite easy, and the results can be great
hope you like

what type of lens did you use for this? 10mm or is it 12mm focus?

I really like your post-processing adjustments on pretty much all your photos. Do you mind me asking what your process is for most of your photos?

Like all your pics this is awesome. Okay I know how to do the color thing, but how to you get such a warped perspective ? Do you use a special lense or is it all done in post processing ?

Another way that i've found you can get a similar effect is to take the original image and make a duplicate. Then, on the original, go to image>adjustments>desaturate. After that, take the duplicate layer and change its blending mode to "darken"

Nice photo, by the way.

Or, use the "soft light" blending mode. It really just depends on which type of photo you are editing, you can just mess around with the blending modes.

Lovely picture. The crispy look on the "metal box" is outstanding.

I still don't get the part "then i re added the original photo as a color layer". Care to explain?

in photoshop you can use layers, and i copy/pasted the original colored image on the black & white ones... making it a "color layer" :)

I absolutely love the way you did that.

So just Image>Calculations to turn it black and white?

Then how did you add the original as a color layer? How do you make something a color layer?

Just copy via layer the original, first or what?

Beathtaking.

A metal box in the foreground, but I feel sorry for the people that work in Glass boxes like the one in the background.
