so here is my entry for the 7th december.
a 30s light painting in my house, around a modern christmas tree... with different lights source and colors (made with colored blank cd boxes)

Oh, it's not hard to do, just need a precise setup. Light painting is something easy if you have 3 things :
- a good dslr camera (30s exposure)
- shoot at night (dark place)
- light source (flash light, colored transparent stuff)

to do exposure shots like this, do you need to move the camera?

of course not.....
you need to use a tripod to make the camera absolutely stable.
the only little secret is to set a long exposure (like 10-30 seconds) and use a portable light source to play with... two possibilities : use the light in direction of the camera to make light trails, or use the light on object to make them "appear" on the picture.

I dont really understand how this is created I mean i know you use camera with slow shutter time but what obstacles has been used in order to create thoose different ligt effects????
